I’m finishing my graduate coursework in December, so October has been a busy month. I checked out a few things that I have not been able to start yet, so I will save those for next month.
After You by Jojo Moyes is the sequel to Me Before You. It’s a very honest portrayal of grief, and at times it was hard to get through. It was difficult to imagine this Louisa as being the same Louisa in Me Before You, but it was the natural and realistic response to the ending.
Still Me is the final book in the Me Before You trilogy. I enjoy Jojo Moyes’s writing, which is why I finished the trilogy. I wanted more of the feelings I felt when reading Me Before You, but I didn’t get that. I still laughed and teared up, but I didn’t have the same bond with the characters.
A little aside regarding this book: I downloaded the audiobook through cloudLibrary and was not happy with it. The app often stopped working spontaneously, and the sound was very low quality. I usually use Libby, which I highly recommend.
